Course description
This immersive and active week in the foothills of the Spanish Pyrenees provides you with the experience, knowledge, mindset, skills and abilities to include life-centered design in your design & leadership toolbox. We combine immersions in nature and our local culture with outdoor design & coaching sessions..
During the retreat, you will be working on a group challenge to acquire life-centered design skills and knowledge and develop your personal journey to metamorphose into a life-centered professional.
What you will learn
Learn about the Life-Centered Design philosophy, mindset and methodologies. You will master how to apply Life-Centered Design in your daily work and look at things from different (new) perspectives.
Know how to shape your own journey as someone who practices & leads life-centered design in your work.
Understand the importance of creating an inclusive design process: with other species, cultures, and resources. Acknowledge the place of Life-Centered Design among other emergent design practices such as regenerative and circular design.
Experience how nature can be a partner in the design process through immersive and experimental design methods and guided in the nature of the Spanish Pyrenees.
About the location
We welcome you to the beautiful Sobrarbe region, a hidden gem in the middle of valleys. This magical area is where our vision of life-centered design was born. You will stay in an amazingly restored casa rural in Usana-Banastón, the village where we live and work.

Jeroen is one of the pioneers in Life-centered design. He uses his experience of living in nature in the Spanish Pyrenees with over 15 years of experience in design and education in an international context.
