Do you feel that every year goes faster and faster? Me too! In recent studies, scientists have revealed what makes us perceive this speed. Do you have any guesses? 🥁🥁🥁 Ageing, my friends! Another wonderful thing to add to the ageing list, Jaja! There is a solution to slow down this feeling of time flying by: try new things and spend time outside.
But do you know who is slowing down? Earth.
"Rising temperatures are affecting many aspects of our planet through changing weather patterns, animal migrations and plant flowering to name but a few. A new study suggests that climate change is also having an unappreciated impact – it influences how we measure time."
Our actions have a significant impact on the ecosystem. By taking a holistic approach, we can become more aware of our impact and take appropriate action. This is the unique aspect of Life-Centered Design.

I've wanted to share Maria Szakats recent work as inspiration. I love the combination of AI randomness and the contrast of using wool to showcase the paintings.

Thorsten Jonas will join us during the first LCD Talk to explore the relationship between life-centered design and UX design. Over the years, we have received many questions about how to apply Life-Centered Design in the UX space. And it is time to answer some of them with Thorsten, an experienced UXer and sustainability advocate.
During our conversation, we will discuss Sustainable UX, its differences and similarities with Life-Centered Design, and why both approaches are relevant now.

Non-Human Persona Workshop Live! (in person, real life, no screens jaja)
Join us in Westerpark, Amsterdam, on June 11 for an afternoon of nature, design and Non-Human Personas!
During this active, imaginative, and immersive activity, you will start by giving nature a voice in the park by creating a Non-Human Persona. Then, we will collectively design a small prototype, a creation that will inspire park-goers to connect with nature and embrace sustainable actions.
Rest assured, we will provide all the necessary workshop materials. All you need to bring is your imagination!
As a family designer family, feel free to bring your kids or babies. Nature is fun for everyone!
