Course description
This immersive and interactive training will provide you with the knowledge, mindset, skills and abilities to kick-start your life-centered journey. We combine virtual sessions in our online classroom with immersive work in nature and local communities while tackling a life-centered design challenge. Your facilitator and LCD specialist Jeroen Spoelstra will guide you during the course. You will learn by executing both individual & group assignments.
What you will learn
Learn about the Life-Centered Design philosophy, mindset and methodologies. You will master how to apply Life-Centered Design in your daily work and look at things from different perspectives.
Know how to include biological ecosystems and non-user communities in the design process. Learn how LCD adds value to your work & organization.
Understand the importance of creating an inclusive design process: with other species, cultures, and resources. Acknowledge the place of Life-Centered Design among other emergent design practices such as regenerative and circular design.
Experience how nature can be a partner in the design process through immersive and experimental design methods.

Jeroen is one of the pioneers in Life-centered design. He uses his experience of living in nature in the Spanish Pyrenees with over 15 years of experience in design and education in an international context.
